Greencastle, Ind Aug 10 – The
funeral of Mrs. Jennie Ragan Tunnell was made the occasion of a heartfelt
demonstration in honor of the departed prima donna at 4 p.m. today. Dr. John C.
Ridspath read a handsome tribute to her memory in the shape of a sketch of her
life, and Dr. Goben conducted a brief funeral service. The floral tributes from
her friends and the sweet music at her bier were no less significant of their
grief than the language of their tear-ladened eyes. The interment was made at
Forest Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Tunnel died of consumption in the 32nd
year of her age. – kbz
